The Colombian Solidarity Campaign protested opposite the Colombian Embassy, delivering an open letter urging the Colombian Government to end the use of ESMAD riot police against the people of the Pacific port of Buenaventura who have been on indefinite general strike wince 16th May, and instead top declare a state of social, economic and ecological emergency and tackle the problems which have led the 150,000 people of the town to protest and call the civic stoppage. Around 95% of the city's population are of African descent and have suffered 450 years of exploitation
