Quechua ladies from the Cuzco area of Peru resting and by a mountain roadside


The different ethnic groups of Quechua speaking people from separate areas in the Andes regions of Peru are distinguished by the style of hat worn by the three girls from Cuzco are in the traditional dress of that area. With a baby on her back in a shawl (tupu) the lady in the centre of the image manages to get some spinning done while she rests with her friends and pet dog by the roadside in the shadow of a snow capped mountain.
