Iconic Kalahari Tree at dawn. A large Camelthorn full of the iconic nests of the Social Weaver, at dawn in the Kgalagadi National Park of South Africa. Camel thorns are large trees native to the sub-arid interior of Southern Africa. The Sociable Weaver is a bird of the weaver family which are famous for their unique large compound community nests. Both the trees and nests are iconic of the Kalahari Desert.
