A Chinese dao, 19th/20th century Single-edged blade with multiple fullers and two-copper lined pierced holes, the reverse with brass-inlaid name inscription of the Qianlong Emperor with year "1743" (following the Chinese lunar calendar). Guard plate, ferrule and pommel of brass decorated in relief. Plain wooden grip. Wooden scabbard with mounts engraved en suite.
