Reservation with more girl births


Allan and Lisa Joseph who live on the Aamjiwnaang Reservation with their five children four girls and a boy Nicole 11 Jimmy 10 Joselyn 8 pink Shyanna 6 and Shawna 2. There are many large chemical plants close to the reservation and a study by Connie Mackenzie documented that there recently have been twice as many female births as male births. They are standing on the front lawn of the Resource Center and Band office of the tribe with Nova Tashmoo Chemicals in the background. Two months ago there was a release of benzene from this plant.
