A reconstruction of the original Port Royal Habitation (1605), a french fur-trading post built by the company of Sieur de Mons and Samuel Champlain. It was the first successful (though short-lived) French settlement of New France in North America, and is presently known as Port-Royal National Historic Site, a National Historic Site located on the northern side of the Annapolis Basin, Nova Scotia, Canada.
