Segovia, Castile and León, Spain. The Alcázar.

The city of Segovia, capital of the province of the same name, lies north-west of Madrid in the shadow of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Its old town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. The Alcázar dates from the 11th century and during the Middle Ages was the favourite residence of the kings of Castile. Much of the building was rebuilt after major fire damage in 1862.
