.CAMP LEJEUNE - A CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron VMM-261 (Reinforced), 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit airdrops an M-777 Howitzer here, Feb. 14, 2012 during offloading procedures for their Certification Exercise (CERTEX). The 24th MEU is conducting CERTEX with Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, scheduled Jan. 27 to Feb. 17, which includes a series of missions intended to evaluate and certify the unit for their upcoming deployment. The CH-53E Super Stallions are based out of Marine Corps Air Station New River.
