DoctorKrecker, who won regard by his disinter-ested medical labors, fell a victim to hisdevotedness in the year 1883, and wasthe first missionary to be buried in thegreat cemetery at Aoyama in many years the city of Ozaka washeld by the organization, but this workwas finally handed over to the Cumber-land Presbyterians. In 1893, BishopEsher, when visiting Japan, organizedthe mission into an Annual Conference,with eleven elders, three deacons, andfive local preachers.
