Fruits large, smooth, globular, solid, with thick walls and cross-sections; color light scarlet, not as intense as could be desired. RUTGERS ,. Certified or regular stock as desired. A second early variety developed at the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and introduced in 1935. A cross of Marglobe and J. T. D., desirable for canning regular pack and for juice. Plant large with thick stems and vigorous foliage.
