He says that it specifies nothingas to what, how much, or how temperanceshould be taught, nor is it specified that text-books should be used in any grade. That law says that this subject shall be studiedand taught as a regular branch by all pupils inall departments of the public schools of thecommonwealth; that there shall be properprovision for instruction in physiology and hy-giene which, in each division of the subject,gives special reference to the effects of alcoholic.
