This is much used at the South for grinding bark. At the North and West it is used for breaking up the corn and cob preparatory to grinding it with com- mon mill-stones. It requires a power equal to eight or ten horses, to break up the corn and cob ; a two-horse power is sufficient to grind bark. It is made of cast iron. Price, $12 00 to $50 00, ac- cordingly as it may be rigged.
