The leader of a German Reconnaissance party posts two armored cars on the bridge and lays barbed wire on Aussig after the annexation of the Sudetenland. After the annexation of Austria, Hitler demanded that he be given the Sudeten region of Czechoslovakia. At the Munich conference in September 1938 the Western powers agreed to this and the nazis occupied the area.
