The lieat last week was unusually in- tense for this time of the year, and roses have been the first flowers to suf- fer. There is a large quantity of Easter lilies reaching us, but their mar- ket is slow. Carnations continue to be fairly plentiful, but are much smaller in size and do not sell readily. Sweet peas have slowed up considerably and their quality is not good. Good del- phiniums are reaching us and move well. Sweet William in a myriad of shades is in big supply. Hardy gypsophila is plentiful and sells well. Snapdragons are seen occasionally. Gaillardias and lupines are in good supply. Coreopsis moves well. Orchids have a steady sale. Peonies arc in abundance and the de- mand is good. Daisies, mignonette, bachelor's buttons, pansies and calen- dulas are all in good supply. Various Notes, The peony show of the Rochester Flo- rists' Association was held at Conven- tion hall, June 12 to 14. Excellent blooms were on display and the exhibi- tion was open to the public. J. Geller, of the Geller Supply Co., called on the trade last week, and ex- pressed himself as being much pleased with conditions in general in his line of business.
