Suddenly he fell, again stricken by jiaraly-sis, and was caught in the arms of those around a tinre he was senseless, as he was conveyed tothe sofa in the rotunda. With reviving conscious-ness, he opened his eyes, looked calmly around andsaid This is llie end of earth ;then after a momentspause he added, / am content These were thelast words of the grand Old Man Eloquent. •c-^.
