Scotch Terriers (Scotties) are out in force at the Tartan Day Parade in NYC. Designated a national holiday in 1998 by the US Senate, National Tartan Day is a celebration of all things Scottish and the contribution of millions of Scottish Americans. The date is the anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath (1320), a declaration of Scottish independence.
