Women having1 been admitted to this society from its organ-ization, it was deemed proper that they should be representedon its hoard of officers, and the list of vice-presidents elected atthe first annual meeting, June 17, 1889, includes the names ofM-s Adelaide Cilley Waldron of Farmmgton, and Mrs. LydiaMorrison Bennett of Alton. These were two of the three ladieswho were then members, the other being Mips Ada E Crosby ofMilfurd. They were admitted at a meeting of the Roard ofManagers, held June 14, 1680. Mrs. Anna M.
