Buddha Head - Bronze, (circa 1368-1644) Ming dynasty. This head is all that remains of a statue, presumably from a temple. Hollow inside, it is made of bronze cast in section moulds. The bronze surface was covered with a layer of kaolin then painted with layers of linen-fibre paper.
