A massive African Bull Elephant shows the how it done NORTH WEST, SOUTH AFRICA. HILARIOUSLY CLUMSY images show a seven-year-old African elephant calf showing off to adult elephants by splashing in a watering show the young calf splashing around having fun before a slip nearly leads to a faceplant while the rest of the herd calmly drink from the watering hole and let the little one play. African elephants are classified as an endangered species, they can grow to 30 ft from trunk to tail, weigh more than six tons and stand as tall as 12 ft at the shoulder. These images were captured by wildlife photographer Gerald Hinde (79) from South Africa. Gerald captured the elephant family at Madikwe Game Reserve, North West, South Africa on his Sony a1 with a 70/200 mm lens. Gerald loves capturing wildlife and finds inspiration in these young animals for the next generation of nature photographers. ?I often sit in an underground hide in Madikwe Game Reserve South Africa and during the dry winter season the waterhole is frequented by numerous elephants,? said Gerald. ?It was a particularly hot day and the elephants splashed around to cool off. This is a typical response of adolescent elephants to hot weather when they are at a waterhole. ? I love taking action photographs. When the most water is splashed those shots are my favourites, even if I end up a little damp. ?I have had very positive remarks about the images, they are full of fun. ?I?m always inspired by capturing action ENDS
