Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Badarpati area of Chittagong, started this Boli khela (a Wrestling Competition) to arouse anti-British sentiment among the youth and to boost their morale by showing strength. This Boli Khela started in 1909 at Laldighi Maidan. Hundreds of years after the British left the country, Boli Khela was still in full 113th edition of the traditional Jabbar Boli khela was held on Tuesday afternoon at the historic Laldighi premises in Chittagong.
