Leader of the British National Party attends crown court in Leeds just two weeks after the London bombings In a week when community relations in Leeds were rocked by the news that the bombers came from the ethnically mixed areas of Burnley and Beeston the BNP trial continues Nick Griffin Mark Collett and John Tindall were due in court at 10 30am However John Tindall who was also due to attend died two days before on 19 July British National Party leader Nick Griffin has been charged with four race hate offences police said West Yorkshire Police confirmed that Mr Griffin 45 of Welshpool was charged at Halifax police station in April Mr Griffin s arrest followed a West Yorkshire Police inquiry after the BBC s The Secret Agent an undercover TV documentary was aired last July Griffin was charged with two offences of using words or behaviour intended or likely to stir up racial hatred
