A networking academy in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, run by REZ organization in collaboration with Cisco Systems. October 2007 REZ Regional Development Agency was created to further regional economic growth when a CHF program transitioned into an independent organization. Bosnian businesspeople and mayors collaborated in its creation. The organization’s primary aim is to advance the region’s entrepreneurs, develop business networks and create public-private partnerships. REZ operates a networking academy in collaboration with Cisco Systems. “The official unemployment rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina is around 44 percent,” says REZ’s director, Amela Malicbegovic. “We believe that learning IT skills will hugely benefit young people approaching the job market.” (text by Danielle Bora)
