Ethan Dykes, an intern at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, engages with visitors in the museum’s Civil War gallery about artifacts and items associated with the USS Cumberland. Cumberland sank during an engagement with the Confederate ironclad ram, CSS Virginia on March 8, 1862. The museum is the official repository for artifacts recovered from the wreck site of USS Cumberland.
