Caddis larva UK
A photograph of a caddis larva, order Trichoptera, on a white background in its protective and camouflaged case. Caddis larva spend their time in freshwater and there are about 200 different species of them in the UK. They build a protective case out of available materials before eventually pupating and emerging as an adult caddis, or sedge, fly.
