A sadhu passes a phone shop on the Mall in Mussoorie. Mussoorie was established by the British in 1823. It served as an exclusive hill station for the colonisers until independence and is now a popular tourist destination for Indians. The town lies on a ridge overlooking the Doon Valley, 2000 meters above sea level.
