Over two-thirds of them were from the west, with an especially large number from the Pacific coast and also a large number from the south. Mr. Keys said the "cross keys" in his ad seemed to catch the eye of the trade. His idea is that there is nothing to equal a display advertisement. Another thing that Mr. Keys spoke of was the help telegraph business was to his local trade. He said that every telegraph order gave him a new prospect to work upon, his object being to impress the persons with his quality of service, place their names on his mailing list and follow this up.
