Recruits from Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, rush to their footlockers during pick up at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Oct. 14. The recruits will spend each day with their drill instructors getting faster and stronger during their transformation into United States Marines. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 6.
