Knight THE FOREST HORSE OF NORTH AMERICA (hYPOHIPPOS MIOCENE)' ' This animal is supposed to have inhabited heavy undergrowth. It was somewhat off the true horse ancestry and had three rather stout toes on both the fore and hind feet. 40s.
