Former Tanaka Family Residence Garden is a modern building designated as an Important Cultural Property by the national government. Besides the Western-style mansion from the Taisho period, a modern Japanese-style building from the early Showa period, there is a Japanese strolling garden with a teahouse. The Japanese-style building was built in the sukiya-style shoin style - a beautiful building with many luxurious and stylish designs, consisting of a 10 tatami Buddhist altar room, and a 14 tatami parlor from which you can view the Japanese garden. The stepping stones area from the veranda to the front may have been designed together with the building in the early Showa period, judging from the architectural survey and the splendor of the stones, but the entire garden as seen today was created relatively recently in 1973. The dry landscape garden, pond garden, tea house and garden were created on the site of the former miso storehouse, which was the family business of the Tanaka family.
