The Rutan-Journeay House was constructed around 1848 in Tottenville, Staten Island, New York. The vernacular clapboard cottage was built for ship carpenter James Madison Rutan. It was bought by blacksmith John S. Journeay in 1850. It is an official New York City landmark.
