BRECHON, farmer, SouthDixon Township, Lee County, was born nearthe city of Belfort, France, the son of Josephand Margaret (Blanc) Brechon, who came toLee County, 111., in 1S64 and settled in BradfordTownship—the father dying there Oct. 6. 21, 1893, the subject of this sketchwas married to Mary Pattat, daughter of Peterand Sylva Pattat, who were also natives ofFrance, and Mr. and Mrs. Brechon are the par-ents of five children: Rosa M., Adeline M., Adel F. and .Joseph F. Mr. Brechonis the owner of eighty acres of land in SouthDixon Township. Religiously he is a Catholicand in politics a Democrat. on. He obtained his education in CanandaiguaAcademy near Rochester, N. and when ayouth worked for a few years in his maternalgrandfathers flouring mill. Later he movedto Green Lake, Wis., where on April 30, was married to Sophia E.
