Army Alpha Battery, 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment hosted a redeployment ceremony in Ansbach, Germany on Feb. 26. Alpha Btry commanded by Army Capt. Michael Archer deployed the Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) air defense system to Poland, Slovakia, and Romania reinforcing NATO’s Easter Flank in Aug. 2023, marking the first operational deployment of the M-SHORAD platform.
