A claimed 20,000 people march through London on the Time To Act Climate March to a rally outside Parliament. Amongst the crowd were many families and children as well as black-clad masked activists from Black Bloc, a group that supports anarchy through direct action. They later held a breakaway protest at Shell house and blocked Westminster bridge to traffic. Confrontations with Met police from the Territorial Support Group resulted in two arrests, one of which was a video journalist wgho appeared to have fallen during a sit-in as demonstrators tried to block a police van from hauling one of their number off to a police station.
