Soldiers with the 1050th Transportation Battalion are presented with the unit patch of the 228th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade officially recognizing the battalion as part of the brigade. The South Carolina Army National Guard conducted a ceremony at the National Guard armory in Newberry, , Aug. 2, officially recognizing and welcoming the 1050th Transportation Battalion to the 228th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade.
