Erwin Rommel's funeral procession in Ulm. Rommel was implicated in the 20th July assassination attempt on Hitler. He was so popular in Germany that the nazis did not dare arresting him publicly. Instead he was offered suicide with the promse that his family would not be harmed and his reputation would be protected. He chose this and recieved a full state funeral and his family was inded not harmed.
