'Nelson's Ship in a Bottle' by Yinka Shonibare outside the Sammy Ofer wing of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
This sculpture of Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory, in a bottle has been described by the artist as "a celebration of London's immense ethnic wealth, giving expression to and honouring the many cultures and ethnicities that are still breathing precious wind into the sails of the United Kingdom". It is high, 5m long and weighs 4 tons. It was originally displayed temporarily on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square and then, after raising funds with the help of £264,300 in contributions from the public, it was moved to a permanent home outside the Sammy Ofer wing of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
