The Madonna wears a red tunic, a blue mantle, and agauzy headdress. Sky background. Pentimenti in the painting ofthe Childs left hand are now noticeable. On the border of theMadonnas dress is the inscription in gold letters, now partlyillegible: M[D or CCCCCjVIII. { 1508, Raphaelof Urbino Pinxit).
