The Vinca major is more erect in habit. It requires much heat in winter, but does well in summer in a sunny l5< border. The Madagascar Periwinkle is a very handsome upright Ci'^-X'VI^ species, suitable for indoor culture, and has leaves of polished green, A^^\^ and pretty white or rose-colored flowers, with a dark eye in the center.
