Colourful fruits of Euonymus japonicus or Japanese spindle

Euonymus japonicus is a small to medium evergreen shrub native to Japan, China and Korea. It is evergreen with large dark green shiny, leathery leaves. There are small white flowers which are followed in the Autumn by pendulous fruits of orange in a dark pink seed case. It is grown as a tall hedge or to cover unsightly views.
