Shrine for Luang Por Ajarn Kasem, a highly respected Buddhist teacher, with glass coffin on display at Wat Muang


Wat Muang at Ang Thong province is known for its imposing golden seated Buddha (Phra Buddha Maha Nawamin) which at 92m, is the tallest statue currently in Thailand and one of the largest in the world. The temple compound also features graphic depictions of heaven and hell as well as a silver temple with a mirrored image hall which houses the first and largest silver holy Buddha image in the country.
