Stopham Bridge.


Stopham bridge crosses the River Arun just south of Pulborough. Originally a fording place it was built in 1423 and a replacement for an even older bridge which was constructed out of wood in 1309. Built of local stone, it is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The total length of the bridge is 246 feet.
