London, UK. 11th May 2017. LSE cleaners in the United Voices of the World union held another of their weekly one-day strikes demanding parity of terms and conditions with staff employed by the LSE. Although they clean the LSE, they are employed by cleaning contractor Noonan under greatly inferior terms to other service staff working in the LSE buildings. A man holds a poster that says Noonan are bineg sued for Breach of Contract, Harassment, Victimisation, Unfair Dismissal and Discrimination on the basis of race, gender and sexual orientation.
