Saint Basil's Cathedral, Moscow, Russia. This cathedral, located on Moscow's Red Square, was built from 1555 and was consecrated in 1561. Originally a Christian site of worship for the Russian Orthodox faith, it was confiscated during the Soviet era and turned into a museum, though religious services resumed here in 1997. The building is part of the Kremlin and Red Square UNESCO World Heritage Site (designated in 1990). Photographed in 2005.
