General Gerd von Runstedt preparing to make a speech in Komotau in Czechoslovakia on 9th Oct 1938 after the annexation of the Sudetenland. After the annexation of Austria, Hitler demanded that he be given the Sudeten region of Czechoslovakia. At the Munich conference in September 1938 the Western powers agreed to this and the nazis occupied the area.
