Typical English sea-front scene, St Ives, Cornwall.

Originally a fishing port St Ives is now primarily a holiday resort following the decline of the fishing industry. The town became well-known for the number of artists living there, attracted by the beauty of the coast and surrounding area, and in 1993, a branch of the Tate Gallery, the Tate St Ives, opened in the town. It was named best seaside town of 2007 by The Guardian newspaper.
