Salvia Officinalis or Common Sage. This herb plant has a variety of leaf patterns and colours. It has many traditional medicinal uses. It is antibitoic and astringent antispasmodic estrogenic hypoglycemic and a tonic. Also used in the kitchen to provide a slight peppery flavour. It is used for fatty meats and also as an ingredient for some stuffings.
