Romanesque church built circa 1100 though the tower and porch were added between 1400 and 1500. It is easily visible from the sea and so was painted white and was used as a navigation mark. It contains frescos from 1400 by the Master of Elmelunde who was given his name after his first work in this church which is unique in Danish ecclesiastical art.
