A campaign group set up by former in-patients and their families called First Do No Harm held a vigil outside the former hospital last year. The Taplow Manor Hospital, formerly known as the Huntercombe Hospital, was run by the Active Care Group and was rated as inadequate by the Care Quality Commission.
