Soldier carrying his musket on his shoulder (no. 34), c. 1600, A soldier, full-length, to the right, holding a musket (a particular type of firearm) resting on his left shoulder (no. 34), c. 1600. In his left hand, in addition to the butt of the musket, he also holds a burning fuse and a furket (musket fork). This is therefore (virtually) the same position as the one shown in the second print of the series. Bottom right incorrectly numbered 2, erased and corrected in 34.
