Exercise PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP 16 (PP16) is the latest in a series of annual Humanitarian Assistance and disaster relief (HADR) programs sponsored by Commander US Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT). The exercise is aimed at strengthening alliances and promoting multilateral disaster management, in the South East Asia region. PP16 allows the ADF to work closely with partner militaries, inter-government agencies, host nation agencies and non-government organisations (NGOs) to further enhance a collective ability to provide any humanitarian assistance and disaster relief wherever it is needed in the region. This year PP16 is deploying to Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Timor Leste, Indonesia and Palau with Australian Defence Force(ADF) participation in all locations.
